Someone should take that page and publish it as the "List of crappy exchanges not to join"

smart... all the databases on one server.. very smart.

Class action law suit maybe? There sure are enough people to start one on that list..LOL

Just saw this myself.

I cannot believe that many exchanges would have databases on a single server. Had no idea AMCS worked like that. One more reason to stay away from these programs.

Extremely, 1x10^99 unprofessional, imho.

I heard a rumor about this from one of my clients that used to run AMCS but wanted to see this for myself.

All I can say is WOW... way to go AMCS. Way to look out for those couple hundred owners.

Still holds true, you get what you pay for.

That is a generic list the "country boy" got off the AMCS website. Some of those TE's don't even exist anymore and some of them aren't even hosted with Glen. He didn't do his research. All he did was copy and paste.

I would like to thank you all yet again for showing your smarts on Jon's message board.

Owners of sites regardless of WHAT server they are on should keep backups of their databases in case there is a problem with their server. It doesn't matter if its a AMCS server or any other.

You have just put down a mess of site owners for no other reason than you are STUPID!

A much better use (as always) of a resource like this board would be to stress the importance of backups. But giving USEFULL information is not the way of those who have posted above as they have once again proven.

Thanks again people..

Oh... one TINY thing.. Amcs was not hacked. Weird huh?

Glen.

Then dispel the rumors Glen. What really happened then?

Almost DAILY I stress that owners need to make it a daily habit to back up their sites

BUT

I also make damn sure that I have at least 1 layer of redundancy in place as well. It might be their responsibility but I'd rather have a happy customer than one that forgot to take a backup and lost their entire business.

Yep, I put down a "mess" of site owners  Keep it up with your insults Glen. You love calling people stupid yet you continue to put out shitty, no creativity exchanges. You line your pockets from people wanting to cash in on the internet craze.

You're a leech Glen, nothing more. You have done nothing for the TE industry except help the most uncreative exchanges be launched.

Call me stupid all you want. I could give a rats ass what you think. In the end I know that I'm respected for the choices I make online. You on the other hand have a bunch of people following you that don't know any better. In some places that's called a cult

(let the single posts from Glen's followers commence...)

are a few I found quick that are saying that Amcs was hacked. There is misinformation out there and your clients are spreading it if the server wasn't hacked.

Like Jon A., I do stress backups to my clients and also do keep backups of their sites. It's come in handy more than once.

This is directed a Jon Atwood directly.

Jon.. you are under the impression that your opinion has value to someone. This is just not the case.

Amcs was not hacked. No one knows better than I do as I have been giving FREE support to put back over 200 different sites. Tis true something was hacked, but I like it much better when the idiots on this board show their stupidity by posting things without knowledge of what they are talking about. It almost ALWAYS brings business my way. Who wants to do business with brainless fools.

I also do not give a 'rats ass' about your opinion Jon.. not many do. I'm afraid you could not produce a list of 50 people that 'respect' you. I've heard some outstanding stuff about you and your business practices.

Keep showing your ignorance AND your stupidity.. As always, I welcome the business.

LOL... the part I love the BEST is "You have done nothing for the TE industry"... I write and support the best script on the market so let me take it back Jon.. Your not Stupid, your a complete idiot....

So listen.. SEE if you can figure out the facts.. then perhaps give me a call. In the meantime.. continue to be a fool.

Glen.

Wow, your reply is laughable Glen.

Call me out jackass. What have you "heard" about me and my business practices.

You're a joke Glen. The only thing you ever have to say in response to people is how "stupid" they are and how your script is the "best on the market" :spit:

Again, WHAT HAPPENED Glen?

First AMCS wasn't hacked

but "something" was hacked

Sites hosted by AMCS lost their databases

Everyone can draw their own conclusions there :|

How very strange. Something was hacked, and a whole bunch of AMCS sites lose their databases. But AMCS was not hacked?

I really wonder what happened. Perhaps all common sense was hacked into pieces.

Oh wait, I think I have a comment.

Mr. Atwood's opinion matters to me. The guy is the best host in this business. But that seems very weird Glen. You say you didnt get hacked, but then you comment that something got hacked? See how this conflicts...
