As some of you may have seen the past 2 months Credit Based Safelists have seen an increase in traffic. While initially this was thought to be a great thing we've come to find out that it's because of a scammer.

Andrew Baxter of MyLeadsMachine.com thought it was a bright idea to create a piece of software to make clicking safelists Clicklinks Automated.

We all know that automation can KILL an industry.

Mr Baxter has been sent a Cease and Desist and has assured me that AdTactics was removed from the software

BUT

automation on AdTactics only INCREASED as he sold this software to more and more people not realizing the damage they were doing.

AdTactics implemented a Captcha system to block his cheating methods and that's been highly successful so far. We've also been able to identify 100's of accounts cheating the system and have either suspended their account or removed them entirely. "Gaming" the system by automation is not allowed and by doing so users forfeit any credits, commissions, or referrals they currently have.

We have some insider information that shows us that Andrew has no intention of actually stopping the use of his software on AdTactics. In fact he's trying to get around the anti-cheat methods we just put into place.

2 updates to his members can be seen below

Quote:
Finally, we've got some privacy! I've just updated this page so it can only be viewed from within the software. So now I can talk about things and not have to worry about whether or not the safelist admins are monitoring this page.

Now that we have some privacy, I can say that it was AdTactics that threatened legal action about a month ago. And now AdTactics has come up with a way of catching us. I will be completely honest with you, there is really not much that can be done to defeat the new system that AdTactics and others have employed, however there is plenty I can do to monitor for those pages that check if you're a human.

I've been playing around all day and I will be able to do as mentioned below, which will render the safelists latest trick, useless. It'll slow us down a little, but it won't stop us. I'm going to need a couple of days to get it completed. Sorry to keep this short, but it's 1am here and I should really go to bed. I'll let you all know when the update is ready.

I am going to create a tabbed browser that will do this and when software comes across one of those pages (whether expected or not) it should suspend all credit links for that safelist (temporarily), it should also suspend that tab from loading another link - until you come along fill in what needs to be filled in and then tell the software it's ok to auto-click that safelist again, until it happens again of course.

I'm also looking at adding an image to each tab, the image will either be a Red Square or a Green Square, red to say the tab requires your attention and green would indicate that the tab is running ok. I am also hoping to work out how to move tabs around, so then I could move all the tabs that are Red to the far left and the green ones to the right. At least that's the plan anyway, I'll keep you all posted, I should know in a few hours if it can be done.

Thanks for letting me know your next steps Andrew!! It'll make shutting your ass down even easier.

Please don't spend ANY money with this lowlife piece of shit scam artist.

Pleas let people know the damage they're doing by using this software. They're cheating hard working safelist members out of their hard earned $$ and credits.

Unbelievable!!! The guy even owns a credit based safelist!!

This sort of stuff killed safelists 5 years ago - before that
using them was like being in a Gold Rush.

Credit based safelists brought the industry back from
the abyss - and now this fucktard has set out to
destroy them again - just to make a few $147 sales.

Yeah, this guys needs to burn in hell.

I wonder how he'll like receiving a bill from me for programming expenses incurred fighting his scamtastic software?

Thanks for the info Jon A.

I was wondering why I was
being asked for a security
code when I clicked on a
credit link.

You're welcome Terry!

If anyone HAS purchased this software I'd file a dispute @ PayPal and report him. Get his account shut down for fraudulent activity

Guys, just so you know there is capchta breaking software available as well, i wouldn't doubt if he implemented it already. It's easy to add something like that to a bot.

I use an SEO software that creates accounts, fills in captchas, logs into your email and verifies the link, logs into said site, fills in profile, uploads a photo, adds links and description and then logs out. It even types the words and pauses, instead of just filling everything out at once.

It's a good thing to have in there and will probably deter a lot of cheaters, I just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to look at other ways to stop the cheats

Thanks for letting us know, I added his site to the HC SurfingGuard central ban list.

Do you have his e-mail address and IP? I'll ban his account too.

This exact thing first started happening on the text ad exchanges several months ago.

Most of the better admins have installed the Captcha system and it seemed to have helped things considerably.

Thanks, the IP and e-mail addresses have been banned.

I hope all TE owners check their exchanges for his sites. I found some of them rotating in my exchange.

Can I take it that credit based safelists not taking some sort of action to prevent this activity are a)doomed and b)not worth using?

Is this the same Andrew Baxter that was responsible for a scam that oferd free search engine traffic by creating gateway pages to your sites?

Can't remember the name of the program but the name rings a bell

Only if you're looking for response from your advertising.
