So Who uses Traffic Exchanges... and Why should I?
There is a debate growing throughout the net about traffic exchanges:
Are traffic exchanges time wasters for dream chasers or quality traffic
generators for home business builders and webmasters?
Those that don't succeed with this viable method of marketing lash out;
they lay the blame of their FAILURE on the industry as a whole, a
sacrificial scapegoat, so that they do not have to own up to it.
While those that succeed, that have obtained the knowledge neccessary
to get the most out of this method of advertising sing it's praises! They
continue to effectively use this method to build their online business and
their lists.
What's the difference between these two types of "average" everyday
people?
I think Bryan Winters of PushButtonPublishing said it best when he said:
"There are two types of people on the net... (type 1) Those looking to get
rich quick. And (type 2) those who are realistic!"
Which type are You? I hope you're type 2; realistic, willing to learn and
WORK to build a successful income generating home business. If not,
then you're in the wrong place.
What kind of people use Traffic Exchanges?
As the owner of two high quality traffic exchanges, NothingButTraffic.com
and HitRacers.com, I'm able to get a clearer picture of the different types
of people that are using traffic exchanges. Here's a quick breakdown:
Type 1: Serious Home Business Minded Individuals. These are the people
that are working traffic exchanges the way they should; by designing HTP
(Highly Targeted Webpages (as taught in part 3)) geared towards
achieving their MWR (most wanted response). Whether their MWR is to
capture leads, build their lists, sell a product or service, or add business
associates to their chosen home business... they're effectively using
traffic exchanges to help them do it and continue to do so.
Type 2: Traffic Exchange Addicts. There are actually a segment of the
traffic exchange population that simply loves to surf. They like seeing
what's new, discovering new sites, seeing new trends develop and new
programs launch... they are like remote control surfers, constantly
clicking to see what's on. They are absolutely great to have in your
downline.
Type 3: Get Rich Quick. Yes, there are people that surf traffic exchanges
in order to join the next hot "get rich while we do the work" program.
They are constantly looking for the silver bullet to success and as a
result, are their own worst enemies. Never sticking with a business long
enough to build it, guaranteed failure. If You have the solution to this
problem, then you'll definitely want to use traffic exchanges.
Type 4: Freebie seekers or tire kickers. These individuals are "gatherers"
and "browsers." They enjoy using the net to see what they can add to
their digital collections and satisfy their curiosity by taking online home
business tours and joining free programs.
Type 5: Fellow Webmasters. 1,000's upon 1,000's of webmasters use
traffic exchanges because they offer a highly affordable means of
generating traffic to their sites. They are actively using traffic exchanges
to get their sites seen, find new income generating streams for their sites,
and to share their passion (i.e. hobby sites, pet sites, etc...) and generate
sales or their MWR.
Yes, people do actually by products that they see offered through traffic
exchanges. How do I know? Because I know I have in the past and will
continue to do so in the future.
So as you can see, as in life, traffic exchange users come in all shapes
and sizes. You must target them appropriately in order to increase the
conversion ratio of Your MWR through traffic exchanges. Follow the
outline provided in part 3 of this guide.
So how do I benefit by using Traffic Exchanges?
1) Traffic: Traffic Exchanges offer an extremely affordable method of
getting your sites seen. It's quite simple to get 1,000's of hits per month
to your site... heck, in part 4 of our guide You'll learn how they work and
how to maxmize (and multiply) your traffic to "really make your hit
counter spin out of control."
2) Branding: Traffic Exchanges allow you to get your sites seen
repeatedly! This allows you multiple opportunities to get your MWR across
and to brand your site... for Free. This is important because branding
your site helps to build trust, credibility, and traffic. This is why you
should promote your own website and not just someone elses via affiliate
programs and business opportunities. Brand your site not theirs.
3) List Building: Traffic Exchanges give you the opportunity to build your
lists for free by exposing your subscription page to the 5 types of people
listed above. Target them by offering solutions to their problems and
You'll list will grow.
4) Home Business Building: Remember, a great deal of people that use
traffic exchanges are people that looking to build a solid home business.
So if your trying to build a home business then you need to market where
your prospects are... and 1,000's upon 1,000's of them are using traffic
exchanges.
5) Viral Traffic Builders: A great deal of traffic exchanges allow you to
earn a set % of credits everytime someone you referred (that joins under
you) surfs. By building large active downlines in traffic exchanges you'll
be able to earn loads of credits that you can use, and in some cases,
even sell!
It is even possible to earn a continual stream of credits without ever
having to surf again... provided the exchange doesn't have any rules
against doing so. Just be sure to read each exchanges rules (or Terms of
Usage) before doing so.
Yes, Traffic Exchanges do offer a great way to get waves of mass traffic
to your site. But this traffic won't make a difference if you don't learn
the "Keys to Creating Highly Targeted WebPages for Traffic Exchange
Success." Get these keys right now by reading part 3 of our Effective
Traffic Exchange Marketing guide here!
