The Pulse of the Hit Exchange Industry!

December 31 st, 2003

One To Click On by Jon

Welcome to the newest issue of the Hit Exchange News and this week's 'One To Click On by Jon'.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season! As New Year's quickly approcahes for many of us, some are celebrating it right now, so to all HEN subscribers...Happy New Year!

This issue is a day early, as like many of you, I have some family functions to attend to tommorow. This way I can answer any emails, questions and comments today and this evening. Tonight, I will be celebrating the new year and there won't be much time to sit down....So without anymore time, welcome back to HEN and welcome to all the new subscribers (there's been quite a few over the past 12 days!)

I have a resolution I would like to make...As 2004 approaches, it will mark a new year for HEN. I want this newsletter to be VERY interactive. I plan on concentrating much more on reader interaction, such as polls, questions, and contests. This newsletter is for the hit exchange industry, and we are all a part of it.

So if any of you have an idea, or a thought about how something can be changed, please let me know. Also, become a part of HEN, take part in the polls and visit the forums. It's such a wonderful thing to see people working together, and as many of us know, the hit exchange industry is still very young, it's a perfect time to build your network of associates NOW! Roll up your sleeves and get invovled! =)

And finally, I guarantee to bring to you, each week, the most informative, useful, fun and interesting hit exchange news on the net. It's been a pleasure to bring this to you, and I can't wait for 2004...I have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT year!

Keep on clicking and thank you so much for being a subscriber!

Jon =)

))))) Attention ALL HEN Readers (((((

Quick question for you today...

Are you advertising the most effective types of pages in all your traffic exchanges?

Reason I ask is because I surf hundreds of sites per week and they all put me to sleep.

There seems to be one major problem that still exists with traffic programs.

The problem being that you only have about 1.8 seconds to grab your viewers attention. That's it, then they're off to the next site.

Think about what grabs your attention when you surf...

Your main focus when promoting via traffic exchanges should be to gather leads - THAT'S IT!

If you are using these programs to push the lastest MLM or some shady randomizer you got it all wrong. Sorry to be so brutally honest but it's true.

What makes me such an expert?

I have been surfing for years now and I know what types of programs work and which don't.

If you would like to see a high quality lead capture page that pulls leads like crazy then click the link below.

As a matter of fact, if you like the page I'll let you use it for free so you can gather your own leads with it. Finally you'll be putting your credits to some good use instead of wasting them.

Just fill out the form to get all the details pinged to your inbox.

The News

  • Exit Cash Flow is BACK! Good thing or bad thing? I think it's a bit of both, as this should get a lot more folks clicking again, but yes, the majority of them will be freebie seekers. Anyways, news is that they have a new owner and should be 're-launching' their site during the first week of the new year. So either get your pop up killers working on overtime or redo your splash pages, because the ECF train is about to get rolling again...Or will it?

  • GTTrader is 'Starting Round 8' and re-lauching their exchange. You know what, if anyone figures out if this is a hit exchange or a wanna-be stock market or a hybrid of the two, please let me know because I'm very confused about this one. They are almost trying to cater to the Outwar and Iwars community with this kind of game. Very weird program!

  • Hit Exchange of 2003??? I'm going to run this poll for another week as I would like as many folks to vote on this as possible. So far, only a handful of folks have voted so get your hands dirty and pick YOUR favorite hit exchange of the past year! Let the industry know what YOU think! Vote Here!

  • And finally a quick reminder! Remember, you are entitled to a FREE pro upgrade in my safelist NetMarketingSL, just for being a subscriber to the News and putting up with me for one more week. Simply sign up for free and e-mail me with your username and I will upgrade you for free (a $14.95 value). Thanks again for reading the News, I appreciate your subscription!

Top 10 List

This week's results are based on traffic statistics (unqiue hits, page views, hits remaining, hits delivered) and if the exchange delivered results (sign ups). While this is very useful information, it is important to remember that just becuase your favorite exchange is not on the list this week, does not mean the exchange does not produce results. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week! Discuss this week's Top 10 list here!

Enjoy this week's list!

  1. Traffic Round Up
  2. Traffic G
  3. Webmaster Quest
  4. Cash Clicking
  5. Fast Lane Traffic
  6. I Love Clicks
  7. EasyHits4U
  8. Fast Freeway
  9. Start Xchange
  10. Click Thru

Hey Jon!

This week's question comes from Steve;

"Why is it that quite a few surf (manual & auto) for hits programs offer a free rotator, BUT, NOT to be used on their exchange?"

My reply;

Hi Steve,

Thanks for emailing me =)

I would guess it's because the majority of them have a header that reads 'Get a free rotator at "So & So exchange"'. They want you to promote the rotator in other exchanges to bring more folks in. They would have no use for you to promote the rotator in their own exchange. That would be my guess =)

Hope this helps!

Do you have a buring question about hit exchanges? Thinking of starting one? Tired of clicking for hours with no results? This is H.E.N.'s weekly Q & A section where I will answer a question every week that you ask me! Send all your questions to me here and just put HEY JON! in the subject line! This is the first week for this feature so please let me know what you think!

Program Review - Ad Credits

Sometimes a great idea does'nt pan out exactly how you thought it would...Other times it does, and works really well. Ad Credits is one of those great ideas and it's almost ready to mature into a very powerful program.

Take everything you've ever learned about generating traffic online, bundle it up with some great designs and presto you've got an 'all-in-one' stop for your online promotion needs. Many times this has been accomplished (examples would be MPAM and Build Referrals) but other times it fails (re: Grow Free). Ad Credits offers you everything PLUS the kitchen sink.

Not only is this a decent hit exchange, Ad Credits offers it's members a place to exchange e-zine adverts, a banner exchange, a SafeList to mail other members, an Exit Exchange, and so much more. The entire members area is basically links to different features in and around the Ad Credits system.

While this is not earth shattering, it works. And while Ad Credits does not deliver 1500 hits a day, it's a steady delivery of traffic. Couple this with all the added features and you've got yourself and very interesting and potentially powerful program.

% Unique Traffic: 60
Results: 3.0 out of 5.0
Speed of Delivery: Average
Site Design: 4.0 out of 5.0
Customer Service: 4.0 out of 5.0
Ease of Use: 3.5 out of 5.0

Overall Rating: 3.5 Mouse Clicks (Rating out of 5.0)

Things That Make You Go...Hmmm? (We're just having fun folks, no disrespect intended!)

  • Clicking? Remember, it's not how much you click, it's where you click! (This PSA has been brought to you by the Association of Auto Surf Owners) Hmmm...

  • IMBlaze is some kind of 'pay to use' ICQ or YIM...They sent me an email asking why I don't think joining for $19.99 a month is a good investment and do I think that $39.99 a year would be better? Hmmmm...Maybe because I can download ICQ, YIM and MSN Messenger for free? Hmmmm....

  • Don't Touch My Ad's is some new 'exchange' of sorts that allows members to time when their pop up will appear on the viewer's computer. Question, what happens if 100 people all time their pop up to appear at 12 noon on your screen? Hmmm....

New Exchange of the Week - Hit Safari

Wow, Hit Safari is going to be huge!

Direct from the minds of Stephen Ayer and Paula Zuehlke comes this soon to be powerhouse hit exchange. Why is it going to be huge, if it is'nt already? Recognize the names of the co-owners? Stephen owns TrafficRoundUp.com and Paula is the webmaster of QualityClickZone.com.

Based on the same script as Traffic Round Up, Hit Safari adds some amazing graphics that not only catch your attention but may even give you a chuckle or two. It's a fun place to visit and again, like I've said a hundred times, keeping an exchange 'fun' while maintaining the quality of traffic makes hit exchanges that much more effective.

And hey, you can even make some cash from downline purchases and upgrades. Nothing to dislike and a lot to enjoy! A winner through and through!

Check out Hit Safari!
