Welcome to the second issue of Hit Exchange News! First, a quick note to my North American readers, Happy Canada Day and Happy Independance Day. I hope everyone has a blast and above all else, stay safe!

It's been a very busy week here at Hit Exchange News, the subscription rate has tripled, the word is out and the industry is talking. Why? Simply put, the industry needed this. I have been involved with hit exchanges for years now and always wanted to see some kind of website / newsletter to which I could get information on hit exchanges. Whether it be news or reviews, I just wanted information!

Hit Exchange News is becoming a success because of the need associated with it. You surf these programs, you spend HOURS on them, you spend money on them! It's time for you to maximize your surfing by reading about the programs that are performing and the programs that are not. You need information on the issues that come up with daily hit exchange advertising. And you need access to tips and tricks that are proven to be effective.

I'm only one man, and will be working day and night to make sure you get the most useful information and features, but again, I'm only one man. If you have any suggestions, comments, or questions about the e-zine, please let me know. This is YOUR e-zine and I want you all to become a part of it!

As reported last week, the good ship ScreenBlaze is having troubles staying online. Mike Chen (program owner) claims to have served over 8 million page views in it's short history and apparently this is the cause for the downtime. If you are promoting or using ScreenBlaze, make sure it is online before you begin and mass marketing.
There has been a slow down in new exchanges being released. However, the ones that are being released seem to have everything properly in place. The newer exchanges concentrate on cheat prevention, ease of surfing, and uncomplicated user interface. If you notice any new exchanges, send them our way for possible inclusion into the e-zine.
Web-Biz-Solutions is a HUGE success. Doug Hart from WBS has been tweaking his program for weeks now and it looks like he's caught a winning formula. His exchange is becoming one of the most promoted and popular programs online today. Congrats to Doug and his entire membership, looks like WBS will be here for a long time!

Clicker's Choice Awards

Hit Exchange News is going to do things a little bit different. We are going to start a monthly survey that asks a simple but important question...What is your favorite Hit Exchange?

Every month I will tally results and report to you, which exchange is the most popular hit exchange on the net. This does not mean who has the biggest membership, or how unique the traffic is. This is YOUR opinion and your vote.

Let the exchanges know who's the favorite among it's members...Simply send an email to me here and let me know which is your favorite...The results will be posted next week!

Top 10 List

This week's results are based on traffic statistics (unqiue hits, page views, hits remaining, hits delivered) and if the exchange delivered results (sign ups). While this is very useful information, it is important to remember that just becuase your favorite exchange is not on the list this week, doe snot mean the exchange does not produce results. The industry changes just like in the real world, so an exchange may not be on the list this week, but will be number 1 next week!

CrazyBrowser - The Great Debate

Surfing hit exchanges can sometimes be quite a task. You have to put up with sounds files, automatic downloads, and funky flash intro pages. Not to mention the dreaded...pop up...and the ever popular lack of system resources (ie computer crash).

No program has ever became so popular with hit exchange users then CrazyBrowser. It's a multi-tabbed browser that lets you save system resources and stops pop ups dead. Not only that, but now you can surf dozens of exchanges at once and earn credits in so many programs in such little time. Sounds good huh?

Not so quick, you see CrazyBrowser can be viewed as a cheat program. Why? It has the capablity to auto refresh and automatically rotate through the different tabs. To be honest with you, I never knew these options existed until a colleague of mine pointed it out. This effected me because I use CrazyBrowser, as do thousands of other hit exchange users. So this is where the debate starts, is CrazyBrowser a cheat program?

It is a great surfing tool and makes your life so much easier when you surf exchanges, but like in all areas of online progams, users are abusing it! Surfers are opening dozens of pages, putting it on auto-refresh and or rotating through the tabs. Folks, no one is looking at you pages and this has to stop.

I'm a fan of CrazyBrowser and do use it when I surf, but I do not use it;s cheat options or open dozens of exchanges. Don't you want people to look at your site? Try to surf only 4-5 tabs at a time and look at the pages. You never know what you might find=)

I have emailed the CrazyBrowser design team and let them know about the cheat capabilities and I think it's falling on dead ears, so don't expect any changes in the next version. The program is great, but keep in mind that it's our responsibility, as exchange users, to not use the cheat capabilites. I know it's a long and sometimes boring *s* task to surf and earn hits, but let's all try to make the exchanges a little cleaner and a LOT more effective.

Program Review - Fast Freeway

As one of the more prominent exchanges in the industry, Fast Freeway has seen some vast improvements over it's 2 year existance. This exchange is feature rich, with the ability to to not only drive traffic to your site (2:1 ratio for free members, 1:1 for upgraded members), but it has a downline e-mailing feature, 15 second timer, banner capabilities, cheat prevention, promote unlimited sites and banner, exit exchange, surf contests and referral contests.

You earn 1000 banner impressions for every referral you bring in and earn on it's 4-Level Referral Program (20%, 20%, 20%, 20%). And coming soon, some ad tracking software for your promotional efforts with the exchange. So as you can see...It's a BIG program!

Is it effective? That depends on a few things, if you are familiar with the exchange then you know about their surfing contest...If you surf the most sites in a day you earn 1000 free credits. There is something very odd that happens in this program, a new contest begins at 12 midnight (EDT) and if you are surfing a site every 15 seconds, one would assume that after 1 minute (12:01 am) you would have earned 4 or 3 sites surfed. Have a look at 12:01am and you will see the leaderboard's top 1 or 2 surfers with over 40 sites surfed...In one minute? It may be a script error, it may be the exchange owner, one can only guess, but it is an issue that has never been addressed in emails sent to the admin.

However, this program continues to shine and results do occur here. Sign ups to Hit Exchange News comes from this program in droves so it does work! And that's really what matters, can an exchange produce results? Fast Freeway does and should be included in all your hit exchange promotions!
