3 Daily Tasks That Will Help You Build Your Brand

Post by JonOlson » Wed Dec 06, 2017 3:21 am

We were having a great talk tonight in the weekly Mastermind session and I dropped a little tidbit that I think can help a lot of people in the forum...

We all hear about 'building a personal brand' and how important it is, but the excuses start to fly shortly after.

Here's three FREE things you can do everyday that will help your personal brand today and tomorrow (and a year from now)

1) Bookmark and visit 3-5 of your favorite blogs and not just look for new content by COMMENT on the posts. People will be attracted to folks that comment and are active daily. This shows people you are someone to pay attention to!

2) Visit NMF daily and COMMENT! This should be a no brainer, but check out all the 'bots' from the search engines that are spidering this thing each and every day. That means, free potential traffic via the search engines that is laser targeted. Want more free traffic? Comment more and add more value to NMF!

3) Create content daily! And that doesn't mean writing a blog post or doing a video on YouTube daily (but that helps LOL) It means commenting on Facebook posts, retweeting Tweets that interest you. Like things on Instagram...Be VISIBLE! And show others that you are an action taker.

One of the more important aspects of building a brand is doing it in ways that have lasting value that may benefit you again and again over time.

It can be far too easy to get caught up in busy work that, while it may seem beneficial at the time, provides no ongoing benefit to your efforts towards brand recognition. Being busy in the wrong places can be equally as damaging over time as doing nothing at all. Afterall, if you want to be seen as a person of action, someone who brings value to the table, and deserves the attention of others, you have to be WHERE people can see you!

The 3 steps Jon outlined are simple, easily accomplished by anyone, and cost nothing more than some investment of time in your own future. Each of these help to bring what you have of value into the arena of public consumption, allowing a growing consumer base access. But it doesn't stop at just that.

Since each of these aspects place what you have to say/offer in a venue that can be reviewed by anyone at any time, it also begins that long-tail social aspect of your brand. What you do today doesn't disappear when the credits are used, but remains viable, and seen, for not only the people currently around but those to come over time.

Start taking action(s) today that will continue to return value to your brand in the future. :)

As always I can only speak from my personal experience.

As for internet trade, I am not exactly sure what you mean...so I will just list some skills
that I learned in order to promote more efficiently in TE.

Registering domains and maintaining a hosting account.
Basic Web page creating and html.
Some image creating, and editing.
Using an FTP client.
Setting up an Autoresponder and newsletters
Tracking for testing results

and of course, improving my language and communication skills.

Admittedly, none of the above constitutes a trade, by anyone's definition, but then again it's a step to a journey.
For me, it may a bit late to take that journey very far, but for younger more able people, a Traffic exchange is as good as any mean, to get you started.

TE's have helped me too, along the same lines as you wrote down.

I got into internet marketing because of traffic exchanges. Learned a ton and met some awesome people because of it.

Awesome Jon, great tips, taking small steps daily really helps to build your brand.
Nothing can be done in a day, thinking in terms of working a single day will finish the job for several days and be absent for weeks or months does not work.
