What is going on with Dragonsurf?

Post by kurosivo » Sat Nov 18, 2017 7:51 pm

For the past few days, there is a "domain name has expired" message at Dragonsurf.biz!
Is this the end of that great long-established traffic exchange?

Saw that too.

Might just be an expired domain? Hope so.

I asked Brian Rickert and Tony Tezak and they said it will be back. :) It's because they are having trouble getting the domain registered again. :)

Soren has gone AWOL and the domain name registrar that he had it registered with has gone bust

Enom want $250 to re register it because the registrar has gone out of business, thats a rip off, especially as it still technically belongs to Soren not us

We do own dragonsurf.com so we are looking at transferring all the database to that domain name. it does mean though if we do that then all existing ref urls will be defunct as we cant do any redirects from the .biz domain.

I will keep you posted as to progress

As an update to the dragonsurf problem...

We hope to have the site back up at http://dragonsurf.com this week (between now and friday)

As soon as it is I will send out an email to the membership telling them the new url and why we had to do it.

http://dragonsurf.com is now online...

your login details are still the same. please note we still have to add the new domain to payza and get that through their system before we can take any payments.

But other than that its good to go.

As a reminder if you have any payza subscriptions with the old .biz domain site you need to cancel them asap

Owner of DragonSurf gave up yonks ago by passing it on to managers. He had no idea how to run a decent TE let alone police it. Yet this silly Sorensen
now causes more problems for those who rescued Dragon. Iffy owner with no interest other than his own back pocket.
