Lots of IG, Twitter and Facebook talk...
But does anyone use these other platforms at all and what kind of success have you had with them?
LinkedIn?
Snapchat?
Pinterest?
StumbleUpon?
So what about...LinkedIn, SnapChat, Pinterest?

Linkedin is only for professional and business stuff, the best source of traffic from LinkedIn is from groups, joining groups relating to your industry and sharing your articles, but the amount of traffic is very low as compared to facebook and twitter, but yes you can get some traffic.
Not used snapchat as yet.
Pinterest is also like Instagram you can share your images in form of pins, you can create various boards for different topics, the amount of traffic is very low.
just testing Stumbleupon, and it's much better than all of the above, you can share your articles and even other articles of interest and if it gets a few likes or upvote you can see great amounts of traffic.

I've been using pinterest for awhile now. Seems slow to get things off the ground, but the engagement is there.

I'm a visual guy, so I've always thought Pinterest would be cool...Just never got into it.

Re: So what about...LinkedIn, SnapChat, Pinterest?
Other than FB and Twitter, I mainly use Pinterest. This is my 2nd biggest source of blog traffic, after SEO...so it seems to be working quite well at the moment.
I'm working towards getting better engagement and results from Pinterest though.
I personally don't use Snapchat, and I'm very unfamiliar with how it works, so have never considered using it as a promotional tool.
I've used Stumbleupon in the past, and got a lot of traffic with 2 posts, but haven't been able to replicate that amount of traffic since. I also found it gave my blog such a high bounce rate. At the moment I'm not getting great results from it, so I've stopped using it for some time.
And I've never use LinkedIn. It's another platform that I'm very unfamiliar with, so have never thought of using it to promote things.

Pinterest is on my 'to do' list for sure. And it's so visual. I think it'll be perfect for what I do.
