Jon,

I've been an active member in ClixSense since Feb of 2007

Now I only 92 personal referrals, but in ClixSense, you don't
have to depend on active referrals.

Since Clixsense added on Crowdflower, members get paid
20% of what active referrals earns daily.

Plus, members who are active, gets 16% daily cash bonus
of what they gross daily.

Jon,

Of the 92 personal referrals,
I have their contact information where I can follow up and send them direct emails.

In addition, I paid my dues advertising CS, I get 20% daily commissions for life
of what my personal referrals earns daily.

Now, if I want to spend couple hours, I could do some tasks, surveys,
offers, etc and muster up a few dollars plus gain additional 16% daily cash bonus. :D

You see Jon, I can take a broke person with no cash, lead them to the pond to
muster up some cash to jump into a paid program  ( light bulb - hello)

Axel....LOL What happened to that guy?

And Michael from H.I.T.

Now that's going back in time :)

Yeah, I'd argue if someone is recommending you to get into ClixSense, to find a new mentor LOL

Love ya ' Rod ;)
Wow. I remember Profit Rally. It was a great program. The funny thing is the website is still up totally inactive. It's still linking to traffic exchanges like 123clicks which don't even exist anymore.

Profit Rally is what gave me the idea to develop Affiliate Funnel with Mike Paetzold and John Merrick all those years ago.

I absolutely loved Profit Rally.

It was the perfect downline builder.

There IS no excuse for not paying your members. None. Not when they bank, Not when they don't bank.
I agree... no argument from me about that, where we differ is in the implementation of standards and rules,

I hope you agree that no program owner is forced to run an affiliate program at all.

BUT... if they do they are entitled to set the rules for such an affiliate program, including having an up to date account with all the information required to run that affiliate program efficiently.

The rules will be (and should be) that ok now you registered has a member do you now want to be in the affiliate program... if you do this is what you must do to comply with the affiliate programs rules.

1. chose your preferred payment processor
2. have a payment processor email in your profile

Not having those things will indicate you do not want to take part in the affiliate program, which is of course your right

I think I am the last person who managed to log in!
Back in February my wife was visiting her parents abroad, our shop was closed for some minor renovation, and with nothing else to do, I decided to have a look at some of the programs I was using years ago. Most of them were of course gone, but quite a lot were still around and thriving. Mostly Traffic exchanges. My old links were still there and they were all tracked by Profitrally (it was in this form, ht tp:// ads.profitrally.com/xxxxxx ) To my great surprise the tracker was still working and redirecting, so I went there and logged in with no problem! It was like a trip to the past! A week after I tried to visit again, just to check what programs were listed and check if they are still around, but it wasn't working anymore.

Axel was a great owner, always paying on time, great at support, a very talented coder, and a fine person. His program was very successful and just before his "exit", he launched a splash page creator program...I cannot recall the name right now.
He did fell victim on one of Paypal's witch hunts! His account, with all the money for the commissions, was frozen! He did try for a couple of months to get his money, without succeeding, and then he just disappeared...! He kept the site open, on complete autopilot, for many many years.

IF the person wants to bank the
money, so be it. Unless you have relayed upfront in your policies/terms and make it very in your face
plain that they MUST cash out at a certain dollar figure.
We pay out weekly to all those over the $10 limit, not having their details on file makes it impossible to do that.

In our case accumulated unclaimed commissions over all our programs is estimated at 5k to 10k per site while someone like me could take a hit like that it would bankrupt most owners.

If you want to be an affiliate then you need to show the same standards of compliance that you hold the site owners to.

An ethical business owner would make it a requirement for new member to select
how they wish to be paid, other wise they will not be able to complete the registration.

you talk as though an affiliate program is part of your membership of a site, it is not.

Its an extension of your membership which you must comply with the rules for said privilege.

The choose pay system will enforce members to choose if they want to be part of the affiliate program or not.

If they fill out the required details in their profile they will be accepted into the affiliate program...

If they do not fill out the appropriate details to conform to the affiliate program rules they will be deemed as opting out of the affiliate program

In regards to payment processors freezing accounts, what has that got to do with this topic? Nothing.

It has to do with this subject because if your processor has frozen your account you can't make the payment.

paying out comissions on a regular basis negates this unforseen circumstance

Its really quite simple, keep your profile up to date and you will never miss out on affiliate payments. its not much of an ask
