Oh and one more thing Mr smartypants loudmouth NFOwisdom before I Move on...

You better get used to this in all affiliate programs, because it wont be long before all cc companies and payment processors insist that affiliate programs are completely separated from the main site.

The biggest red flag for all processors is the we will pay you commissions if you join our site claims on sales pages.

It wont be long before they shut down sites that have an inbuilt affiliate program, the choosepay plugin is a stepping stone towards compliance with processors and CC companies

This is not the first go around for Matthew Grave not paying commissions. He has done this off and on for 10 years! BUT guess what! People wjll keep joining his next lunch! They do it all the time and then complain when he does not pay. LOL! ...
Tony, I was in complete ignorance. My earlier experience with Matthew was a decade+ ago, through Webbizinsider, where there was never an issue as there is not any commission plan there.

Early this year, I reached out to him to unfroze the above-mentioned account, since it was connected to my old Hotmail account and no emails were coming through, no matter how much I tried. It was kind of important to me as I did have a very large downline there and since I was starting again from scratch, any head-start counted.

He was very helpful, I must give him this, not only with his programs but on other matters that I asked his opinion about.

That's not the issue @hotbots. I don't believe.

The problem is forcing people to dish out money in order to promote it.
That is nothing new at all. It's just that some payment processors such
as PayPal is taking their own policies more literal than in the past.

I have a program and what I state is all can join and nothing needs to
be purchased at all. What I state is FREE is the same as PAID in regards
to promoting. In other words, you are a free member, you promote and
get a referral that upgrades, you get $500 = 50%. You are a paid member
having paid $1000 as an upgraded member you refer, you earn $500 =
50%.

Free Member= gets less
Paid Member = gets more
Free and Paid Member = same amount of commissions paid per upgrade

You see?

The problem is telling people if they are a paid member that they will
get more money than a free member. THAT IS the ISSUE.

Going over the discussion here, I see it from both points of view...

One side, I think owner MUST have enough in the bank to pay the commissions owed. Or else, problems can arise.

But I also agree that affiliates need to take some personal responsibility as well. And if you don't log into the program and aren't active, I understand why some owners think that's grounds for removal.

Personally, I don't like removing members ever, but I completely understand why one would do it and to be honest, support that stance. We need more proactive affiliates and owners. It's a win win if we're all active.

Puddy, thanks for informing that you're willing to take advantage of your newbie members and lay blame on your members that's making you money at their expense.

After all, those who are upgraded are paying you to advertise a business they don't own and giving you tons of free advertising to boot, saving you tons of advertising expense.

So me asking for 2 simple things...
1. chose your preferred payment processor
2. have a payment processor email in your profile

Not having those things will indicate you do not want to take part in the affiliate program, which is of course your right
Makes me a rip off merchant?

Has it not occurred to you that without those 2 bits of information its impossible to pay anyone, has it also not occurred to you that by me enforcing those 2 bits of vital info I will actually end up paying out more in commissions because it forces people to check their profiles more often.

I'm not ripping off newbies I'm doing them a favour
No, you guys need to clean up your act and make it forced mandatory upon registration that profile
is completed that includes, providing payment method how they wish to be paid.

Then that would solve the problem, Te owners would be forced not to spend and live off
their members commissions playing roulette.

BS Jon,

Site owners has their members upgrade funds, what difference does it make if they log in.
They got their money. Pay them.

I think you are confusing upgraded members and people that never log in.

This topic not about people who never log in.

It's about not paying commissions.
