This topic not about people who never log in.

It's about not paying commissions.
NO... I want to pay them the commissions. My beef is that people wont update their profile so i can pay them.

The new system will hopefully force them to keep their profile up to date so i can pay them.

Any program is a contract between member and owner.

As an owner i promise if you have all your profile set up as required you will always be paid

As a member your promise is you will always keep your profile up to date and be a responsible affiliate or you lose the privilege of being an affiliate

That's not the issue @hotbots. I don't believe.

The problem is forcing people to dish out money in order to promote it.
That is nothing new at all. It's just that some payment processors such
as PayPal is taking their own policies more literal than in the past.
No

I have had long chats with payment processors and merchant account providers, its the attached affiliate programs that is the red flag.

They want the affiliate program completely separate from the site.

Though I do agree the fact that different levels get different com levels exasperates the problem. The fix as they see it is not having the affiliate program inbuilt, but run by independent 3rd party sites that they will have better control over.

As a software developer Its our job to keep up with changes in the IM space including payment processors, so we make sure we are in dialogue with the right people...

This is becoming such a strong movement towards aff program separation by the payment processors, that we are already looking at rewriting our software products to make the affiliate part of it a separate plugin that can be run through (hopefully our own) 3rd party program.

You may not like this boys and girls but that is the reality

And I'm ok with that.

Nothing wrong with separating the two.

Whatever works really, I'm game to try!

Pin the field where it's mandatory how they wish to be paid, like
it's done with user names, password, members email address,

Problem solved.

hotbobs, I've not dismissed you

Over the course of years, unclaimed commissions have built up, gone unpaid to your
members for not making it mandatory to pin the field to provide the payment option.

Liberals eat their own :!:

Now the payment processors as you say are going to regulate how you do business, that's
probably going to be a good thing, you push those Te scripts on anyone that will pay for it,
rather they are qualified or not. Bumper car city.

This, I too spoke to them and this is the big main issue that soon will come to cause more problems for everyone if people do not start to address it now.

I removed the affiliate programs from my sites in order to comply with this, I have yet to decide what I am doing next about it though lol

Ok folks, how about some advice here. Paid this guy for several upgrades.
Tried requesting support and commission the right way, did a stop
payment through my credit card company for an ongoing subscription of
solo ads I was not receiving...still not getting commissions paid and now
being told i am an unprofessional troll ...even gave him my phone number to give
me a call and straighten it out like a man

I give up , can assure one thing that I will not be putting in much money to this
end of the marketing area anymore with jokes like this

Tim, I learned my lesson 8 or 9 years ago.

I had 300 referrals to a TAE,
I spent lot of time rounding up those referrals.

I had like $400.00 in unpaid commissions when she up and vanished.
I was paid some early on in the beginning. At the end, she took the
money and ran.

I lost commissions on couple Te's too, but only like $20 / $30.00

I had banked like 30 million ad credits.
I had hundreds and hundreds of solo ads
Heck, I had hundreds of everything for advertising.

All that time wasted giving that site owner free advertising
at my expense and not get paid too, along with others that
went unpaid.

Only advertising I do now is for me, myself and I and my website.

Sadly this is the norm these days. Owners just disappearing. And not paying commissions. We've lost thousands over the years.
