What Are You Reading?

Post by JonOlson » Wed Nov 15, 2017 9:36 am

In case you haven't heard, I'm a bibliophile.

That sounds really creepy until you Google what that is...

It's a book worm. A sad, sad, sad book worm who is obsessed with collecting, reading and talking about books...A lot!

I recently joined Michael Hyatt's Leader Box book club and we're diving into Crucial Conversations!

Looking forward to reading this best seller and curious....

What are you reading right now?

Do you have any must read business or personal development books you think I should....Errrrr...Pick up?

Let's talk books :)

My most current business related read is 'https://smile.amazon.com/Misbehaving-Be ... +economicsby Richard Thayler. I actually got it the week before he won the Nobel Prize for Economics.

There is some really good information regarding human behavior here.

Before you click, know that the link goes to Amazon. I normally read from Kindle... And I'm thinking the link set up is pretty clunky. I'll do better next time :)

I'm reading a few different ones although I stopped a bit since I want to go full throttle on the sites I'm currently building up.

1. Frank Kern's "How To Get Consulting Clients Fast"
2. Re-reading Richard Templar's "The Rules of Life" (this one is taking forever because I read one rule per day)
3. And a bunch of books on consulting I purchased on kindle on a desperate day lol

Next on my list are a few physical books I purchased a while ago and never had the time to really go through them in detail, those are:

1. David J. Schwartz "The Magic Of Thinking Big"
2. Jay Abraham "Getting Everything You Can Out Of All You've Got"
3. John Caples "Tested Advertising Methods"

The New Case for Gold - Jim Rickards
He points out some interesting facts about the state of the USD and how we are heading towards some sort of major crash and a reset on the gold standard is very likely to happen but not until China finish buying enough gold on the cheap. That's why we see gold pretty much unchanged over the last 5 years or so. A huge price correction is coming for precious metals and the emergence of bitcoin outshining everything else over the last 12 month's or so makes this one of the most exciting times in history for the smart saver and investor. I feel the need to read this book again as there was a good deal of information in it even though it's a relatively small book in size with just 172 pages it is packed with great treasures from a guy who knows the economy on a really deep level.

I loved Michael Hyatt's book - Platform Get Noticed in a Noisy World.

Really helped me when I was building my personal blog, and a simple strategy for promoting.

Currently reading a few free books from Pat Flynn on affiliate marketing, and email marketing.

Platform was amazing. One of the books I read that helped me cement my beliefs in doing live shows and blogging as much as possible.
